Summer News – RFHC Players Do Well With Provincial Teams

It was a great summer for 3 Richmond Field Hockey Club players who were selected to Field Hockey BC Provincial Teams. Picture above (left to right) – Aish Sander, Georgia Booker and Dakota Chan.

Aish Sander
Aish was selected to Field Hockey BC’s U15 BC BLUE (A team) and traveled to Calgary for the Field Hockey Canada U16 National Championships. Aish helped BC Blue make it to the finals before falling 1-0 to Ontario in the Gold medal match. Aish played in all 5 games of the Championships and scored 1 goal! Congratulations Aish!

Georgia Booker
Georgia was selected to Field Hockey BC’s U18 BC WHITE (B team) and traveled to Brampton, Ontario for the Field Hockey Canada U18 National Championships. Georgia and BC White made it to the Bronze medal match defeating BC Yellow 2-0. Georgia played in all 5 matches and scored 1 goal for BC White! Well done Georgia!

Dakota Chan
Dakota was selected to the Field Hockey BC’s U18 BC BLUE (A team) and traveled to Brampton, Ontario for the Field Hockey Canada U18 National Championships. This is Dakota’s fourth selection to the Provincial team playing in 2013, 2014 and 2015 for the U15 BC Blue team. Dakota and BC Blue scored a huge victory defeating Ontario 2-0 in the finals to win the Gold medal and become National Champions! Dakota played all 5 games and scored 4 goals in the tournament.

Dakota was subsequently selected to the 2016/2017 Field Hockey Canada U21 Junior Development Squad. CLICK HERE for full press release. Congratulations Dakota!
